Long version...

Jane Frankland MBE is a globally recognised cybersecurity leader, advisor, and author, known for reframing cyber resilience as a leadership, governance, and business survivability issue rather than a purely technical one. With nearly three decades of experience across cybersecurity, risk, and leadership, Jane has operated at the sharp edge of the industry since its earliest days. She founded one of the first penetration testing companies in the 1990s, served as a Managing Director at Accenture, and has worked extensively with organisations navigating complex cyber, regulatory, and operational risk at board and executive level.

Jane has played a pivotal role in shaping the global cybersecurity ecosystem, contributing to the development and launch of landmark initiatives including CREST, Cyber Essentials, and Women4Cyber. She is the author of IN Security, an Amazon bestseller focused on leadership and inclusion in cybersecurity, and sits on the board of the Black Hat EU Executive Summit.

A defining feature of Jane’s work is her ability to bridge groups that rarely speak the same language — technical teams and boards, operators and executives, founders and investors, organisations and their wider ecosystems. She helps these groups surface uncomfortable truths, challenge entrenched assumptions, and align around outcomes that balance security, growth, trust, and commercial reality.

Her work focuses on the human, cultural, and governance foundations that determine whether organisations can survive disruption when systems fail, time compresses, and decision-making becomes irreversible. She is particularly known for translating complex cyber risk into clear, board-level language that enables technical insight to influence real decisions — and for her long-standing work to make women in cybersecurity the standard, not the exception.

Jane works selectively with global brands and organisations as a trusted advisor, ambassador, and thought leader on cyber risk, leadership, and digital resilience. She is a regular contributor to global media including the BBC, Forbes, the Financial Times, The Guardian, and The Sunday Times, and was awarded an MBE for services to women in cybersecurity. She is currently writing a leadership book on why cyber resilience is not something organisations buy, but something leaders must design.
