Join the IN Security Movement

Let's make the world safer, happier and more prosperous, together.

From One Book To A Global Force For Inclusion, Access & Cyber Resilience

The IN Security Movement is on a mission to create a safer, more equitable digital world — by removing barriers and unlocking access for the brilliant minds too often overlooked.

Why We Exist

Whether you’re a woman trying to break into cyber, a young entrepreneur building something new, or part of a community that’s long been excluded, you deserve access to tools, insights, and opportunity. And that’s exactly what we’re here to give.

From Book To Movement

The spark that lit a fire for equity, access, and action

When I wrote IN Security: Why a Failure to Attract and Retain Women in Cybersecurity is Making Us All Less Safe, I started a conversation the industry had long avoided.

Since then, the movement has:

  • Sparked policy shifts, industry research, and practical change.
  • Led to an industry-wide Code of Conduct for event organisers.
  • Grown into a global force for inclusive innovation and resilience.
  • Earned me an MBE for services to women in cybersecurity.

But most importantly — it has changed lives.

Introducing The My Cyber Risk Initiative

Powered by Cyber Monks & Mastercard

Originally launched to support women in cyber, My Cyber Risk now serves a much broader mission: reducing cyber risk by removing cost and access barriers for those most likely to be excluded.

We provide up to 75% funded access to our risk assessment platform for:

  • Women and marginalised groups.
  • Young professionals, students, and returners.
  • Early-stage entrepreneurs and startups.
  • Anyone with the passion to lead but limited resources.

Why This Initiative Matters

I care deeply about our planet, our people, and our collective future and so do those in the IN Security Movement.

Because the truth is, hackers are scaling faster than our defences. They’re well-resourced, relentless, and exploiting every digital gap they can find.

Meanwhile, the digital divide is deepening. The few with access grow more secure. The many without it? More vulnerable than ever.

That’s not just unjust — it’s dangerous.

We’re here to build bridges where walls exist. To give anyone with the will to lead the visibility, insight, and support they need to protect what matters — before it’s too late.

What This Initiative Offers

The My Cyber Risk platform provides instant, actionable intelligence. This isn’t theory.  It’s real-world risk visibility — previously out of reach for most. My Cyber Risk helps you:

The Black Hat Scholarship Initiative

Since 2018, the IN Security Movement has enabled more than 442 women to receive our scholarships, a value approaching USD $800,000. By doing this, we've been able to further their education, raise their confidence and industry connections. Every year we provide scholarships and work in partnership with organisations such as Black Hat, the largest producer of information security events worldwide. Get on our scholarship waitlist now and we'll drop you an email when our next opportunities are out.

The Code of Conduct Initiative

The objective for the Code of Conduct is to set a standard of conduct that can be expected of event attendees, speakers, sponsors, partners, facilities staff, and event organisers. It is supported by Black Hat, AISA, ISC2, AWSN, AustCyber, Australian Cyber Security Centre, Now Movement, has been used by over 100 event organisers including WiCYS.

Big Bold Goal

The IN Security Movement is not here for small change.

We’re here to empower 1 million underrepresented individuals and founders with access to cyber tools, knowledge, and global opportunities by 2030.

Because when more people are equipped to protect and lead, we all win.

Real Access. Real Impact

I've leveraged my influence and thanks to our IN Security Movement partners and my board-level advocacy — including Black Hat EU (Executive Committee) — we’ve already:

  • Enabled 442 scholarships valued at over $800,000.
  • Expanded access across UK, EU, Middle East, Asia, North America, Australia, and Africa.
  • Opened doors from students to CISOs and founders.
